Kent Peterson notes that many faculty were seeking help to get better at online instruction. Going forward, they want better utilization of their LMS with the need for better communication and professional development on the capabilities that technology offers to create richer experiences both in and outside the course. IMS provides the “village” where all stakeholders come together to solve large-scale challenges, like those associated with COVID-19.

Because I think all the pieces are there to create a very robust learning experience online, but I think so many people have had to transition so quickly, they're not really sure what the capabilities are."
