APIP/ Assessment APMG

Room: Ontario North

The Assessment APMG, combining the APIP and QTI groups, is meeting face-to-face for the first time. This meeting will define the assessment related objectives for the coming months and is an excellent time to bring issues and interoperability needs to the community. Topics for the meeting include reviewing the conformance certification process and status, working on additional services to support assessment, determining the scope to evolve the specifications (addressing areas such as adaptive testing, HTML 5, AccessForAll v3, and others), and setting timeline and priority.

K12 Federated Search

K-20 suppliers will work to finalize a technical approach for evolving existing interoperability standards to facilitate federated searches across diverse content sources with one query to support the creation of personalized learning.

The LIS APMG will continue working through the conformance process and addressing the roadmap of LIS.

Education & Career Positioning Systems Workgroup Session

The move towards competency based learning, badging, Moocs, and using big data innovatively to help students navigate their education towards the workplace all hold great promise to address the rising concerns by students and parents over cost, quality and flexibility.  The success of these disruptive models to impact learning and student success will require higher education to re-imagine their enterprise and break down the silos of closed systems. This ECPS workgroup session will focus on where the interoperability issues exist today and identify standards needed to scale these innovative learning models and support course articulation.
